Dr. Daili Pomar, DMD, MD

Dr. Pomar is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon offering patients a comprehensive approach to care at Orta Oral Surgery. Holding dual degrees in both Medicine (MD) and Dentistry (DMD), she brings a unique depth of expertise to her specialty. Dr. Pomar is dedicated to providing compassionate, safe, and patient-focused treatment, ensuring exceptional outcomes built on extensive training and a deep commitment to well-being.

As a dual-degree trained maxillofacial surgeon from the University of Florida, her 6-year residency consisted of extensive general anesthesia and sedation training, dental implant and bone grafting surgery, corrective jaw surgery, trauma, management of oral pathology, and temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders. Driven by a passion for advancing patient care, Dr. Pomar has conducted and published research on TMJ, mentored by Dr. Frank Dolwick, DMD, PhD. She has traveled to Honduras on mission work and has gained valuable experience in alveolar cleft surgery.

Dr. Pomar’s aptitude and humanistic approach have been recognized throughout her career. She graduated in the top 10% of her dental school class, was inducted into the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society, and received the significant Gold Humanism Resident Award, underscoring her deep commitment to patient well-being.

Born and raised in Cuba, Dr. Diaz moved to Tampa, FL, at age 12, now calling the Tampa Bay Area her home. She is married to Alex, a Special Forces Medic and Physician Associate, and they are excited to start their family while dedicated to serving the community that is so important to them. This personal connection fuels her caring approach to every patient.
